Internet more freedom from other media because everyone can write from anywhere in the world. In Oman there are many web sites some for government institutions, business, culture, newspaper and for discussion. Discussion sites are most popular website in Oman and the popular site called "sablate Oman". In this site every one can discuss about many subject and special local subject. Also, in this site discuss very transparency and freedom. Also, in discussion sites get opinion and other opinion. But there are censorship by internet. For example what happened to Ali AL Zeaidia when he allow to publish article about corruption in Omantel in "sablate Oman" after that manger of Omantel present complaint to police and Ali prison . I think that oppress to freedom. Also, that happened to Tayba AL Maiwaly because she writes about Political reform. Also, there is other problem is used internet in Oman there are 10% used internet from population. This percent is very few and effect by effect of internet in Oman social. The must develop internet serves in all regions.
The media in Oman is not good and need to change and develop. I think the first steps to develop media change law because Restrict freedom. Also, must change afraid journalist to Protection. Must from government encourage create new media institution and decrease from high cost. The must develop media in Oman to play role to develop in Oman.
